I wanted to share my experience with the Blueprint to Beat Cancer. I started working with Robert a few months ago, and he has gone above and beyond to create a personalized plan for my journey with Stage III SCC cervical cancer. I’m incredibly grateful for his support and dedication to helping me navigate this process.

"I wanted to share our experience with Blueprint to Beat Cancer. My husband was diagnosed with Glioblastoma (Stage 4) earlier this year. It was a challenging time for us, especially since we had previously lost my brother to the same disease. We decided to work with Robert, and he created a personalized protocol for my husband to complement his standard of care treatment, which included surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. Robert’s support and guidance have been invaluable throughout this journey. Recently, my husband had an MRI, and we’re grateful to share that there is no new growth and some reduction from the surgery site since January. My husband is doing well, and we’re thankful for Robert’s dedication and care."

"Hi Robert—how are you? It’s been just under a week since I got home from treatment, and I wanted to share an update. Things are going well, and I’m experiencing minimal side effects. I’ve been able to resume yoga, go on small jogs, and walk 10,000 steps daily, which feels like a big milestone after undergoing cisplatin, Keytruda, four brachytherapy sessions, and 28 radiation treatments. Everyone is surprised with how I’m doing. While the treatment process was challenging, I’m grateful for the support and guidance I received through your protocol. It’s been just under a week, and I’ve even been able to play tennis again! I recently spoke to another young woman who went through a similar treatment plan at UCSD, and her experience was quite different. From Patient to Platform

A Stage 4a Cancer Diagnosis That Sparked the Development of BTBC

Modeling the Body to Support the Patient

After being diagnosed with Stage IVa Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC), our founder experienced firsthand the physical and biological stress that cancer and its treatments place on the body. During treatment and recovery, careful attention was given to stabilizing key biological systems—supporting immune balance, micronutrient pathways, metabolic health, gut microbiome stability, and neurological signaling.

Over time, patterns began to emerge suggesting that maintaining stability within the body’s internal environment—the host—may play an important role in how patients tolerate treatment and recover.

Following remission, those observations became the starting point for a deeper effort: reverse-engineering the supportive strategies that appeared to help maintain biological resilience during treatment.

What began as a personal investigation evolved into the foundation of a larger system. By combining clinical observations, biological modeling, and structured data tracking, the concepts developed during that experience were translated into a Host Modulation platform and Medical Digital Twin (MDT) architecture designed to monitor and support host-state stability over time.

Blueprint to Beat Cancer was created to bring these insights into a structured, research-driven framework that could help support other patients navigating cancer treatment—while contributing data and insights that may help researchers better understand the role of the host environment in cancer care.

About me

Robert Owen is the founder of Blueprint to Beat Cancer and a mechanical engineer, inventor, and patient advocate dedicated to advancing supportive care innovation in oncology.  He’s published 4 books on the subject of whole body cancer care and specific components related to it’s utilization.

He holds 18 issued patents with additional technologies currently in development, and has spent his career building complex systems that integrate engineering, data modeling, and real-world problem solving. Following his own experience with Stage IVa Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC), Robert redirected his engineering expertise toward developing new ways to better understand how the body responds during cancer treatment.

Robert currently serves as a Patient Advocate Member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and is the Principal Investigator for the BTBC Real World Evidence dataset operating under Institutional Review Board Exemption 4 status, supporting research into host-state biological responses during cancer treatment.

Blueprint to Beat Cancer was recently featured at ViVE 2026 within the CancerX Pavilion, highlighting the organization’s work in developing data-driven supportive oncology care systems. Robert has also been referred to participate in discussions related to the NCI Whole Body Cancer Care Symposium, reflecting growing interest in whole-body approaches to supporting patients during treatment.

In collaboration with Dr. Michael Liss, Robert helped develop an advanced gut microbiome and metabolic pathway testing platform for cancer patients, designed to evaluate bacterial diversity, micronutrient absorption pathways, lipid and glucose metabolism, one-carbon metabolism, and neurotransmitter signaling pathways. This work aims to better understand how biological systems interact during cancer therapy and how supportive care strategies may help stabilize the host environment.

Blueprint to Beat Cancer is now beginning clinical integration with Beverly Hills Cancer Center, which will serve as the flagship site for evaluating how the BTBC Host Modulation platform can be incorporated alongside standard oncology care.

Through these efforts, Robert continues to build partnerships across the conventional oncology ecosystem to explore how whole-body supportive care approaches may help improve patient resilience, treatment adherence, and quality of life during cancer therapy.

Our Vision for Patient Support

Bringing Clarity, Stability and Support to the Cancer Journey

A cancer diagnosis can be one of the most overwhelming experiences a person will ever face. Patients and families are often confronted with an avalanche of information, opinions, and alternative approaches—many of which are difficult to evaluate or apply to an individual situation.

In the midst of treatment decisions and emotional stress, patients are frequently left wondering how best to support their whole body during therapy.

Blueprint to Beat Cancer was created to help bring clarity, structure, and science-driven insight to that challenge.

Through the BTBC Host Modulation platform and the NaturaVoca supportive care framework, we focus on helping patients understand and support the biological systems that influence resilience during cancer treatment—including immune regulation, metabolic balance, gut microbiome stability, micronutrient pathways, and neurological signaling.

Our goal is to help patients navigate treatment with greater confidence by combining personalized monitoring, data-driven insights, and educational support that can be used alongside conventional oncology care.

By empowering patients with better visibility into their body’s physiological state during treatment, we aim to help reduce uncertainty and provide a clearer path forward during one of life’s most difficult journeys.

At Blueprint to Beat Cancer, our vision is simple:

No patient should have to navigate cancer alone or without a deeper understanding of how to support their body during treatment.

Healing Story

Just wanted to take a minute to thank you Robert for the knowledge and guidance. Robert, you are the kindest human for the endless hours you commit to helping others. I believe timing is everything in life. If it wasn’t for you, Brian wouldn’t be in the ideal place to change therapies and hopefully continue to do well. You’re an anomaly in the way that you dedicate as much time as you do to guide us and be a thought partner. There aren’t enough others like you holding our hands through this. TY!!!
